ABOUT US
Association of parents of children and youth with disabilities "Snail House" Budva was founded on 07.02.2013. on the initiative of the parents of eight children with disabilities from Budva. Today, at the beginning of 2015, "Snails House" brings together thirty children aged between two and twenty-seven  with various disorders and developmental disabilities, and their parents. The lack of support services for children and youth with disabilities in Budva, and the plight of these children and their families in the community have led to the establishment of the "Snail house", to the delight of all its members.
The objectives of the Association are:
• Support and assistance to children and youth with disabilities  and protection against all forms of discrimination.
• Improvement and development of the social, educational and health care for persons with disabilities
• The establishment, existence and functioning of the Day Care Centre and other alternative forms of support for children and youth with disabilities in the municipality of Budva.
• Educating parents and other members of the Association and decision makers at national and local level about the specific needs of children and youth with developmental disabilities by organizing seminars, training and workshops.

• Raising awareness about the need for the greatest possible integration of children and youth with disabilities and special needs in all segments of social and economic life, especially in education and employment.
•  Introducing children and youth with disabilities with  their rights and respect for the rights of others.
•  Assigning opinions, drawing conclusions and proposing other measures that are of interest to improve the protection of the members

The activities of the Association are:
• Gathering of parents of children with disabilities, citizens, humanists, donors, sponsors who want to help  the actions of the Association for rehabilitation, socialization and integration into the working and social environment of children and youth with disabilities
• Registration of children and youth with disabilities and developmental difficulties.
• Organized work with children and youth with disabilities and special needs in collaboration with experts in order to improve their
Initiation and implementation of projects in kindergartens, schools and other NGOs.
• Organizing educational workshops, tours and cultural events for members of the Association.
• Helping children and youth with disabilities and their families in the exercise of their rights.
• Informing  the general public about issues related to the development of children and youth with disabilities.
• Provision of various types of assistance to members of the Association
Our vision is an inclusive society in which children and young people with disabilities are able to realize their rights to health and social protection, the right to education, the right to family life, the right to move and socialize.
Our mission is to actively participate in building an inclusive society equal for all children and young people.
